Suffolk Construction Company, Inc., West Palm Beach, Fla., member of the ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓFlorida East Coast Chapter, has been awarded Accredited Quality Contractor (AQC) status by ABC.

The votes are in and the four finalists for the 2015ÌýCraft Instructor of the Year AwardÌýhave been announced. The finalists will join ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓat the Workforce Conference March 3-6 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where they will be interviewed and narrowed down to one winner. The winning instructor will be announced during the Careers in Construction Awards ceremony and will walk away with a $10,000 cash prize.

AMEC Foster Wheeler, Woodstock, Ga., member of the ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓGeorgia Chapter, has been awarded Accredited Quality Contractor (AQC) status by ABC.

ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓmember companies were honored by theÌýConstruction Users RoundtableÌý(CURT) as they accepted 11 out of the 14 Construction Industry Safety Excellence (CISE) awards at the Nov. 11 CURT National Awards gala in Houston, Texas.

ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓmember companies who have an employee who stands out as a team leader and the best in their trade can give them the recognition they deserve by nominating them for title of Craft Professional of the Year Award. Finalists will be flown to Fort Lauderdale, Fla. for the Careers in Construction Awards ceremony and the winner will walk away with a brand new 2015 Ram Tradesmen Truck.

Our craft instructors have a huge impact on how well-prepared the nation’s future construction workers are and their dedication to building a skilled workforce should not go unnoticed. To thank our instructors across the country for their hard work, ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓwill award an instructor that teaches at an ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓChapter, training affiliate or member company with $10,000 and the title ofÌýCraft Instructor of the Year.

National Safety Excellence Award (NSEA)Ìýapplications are due Oct. 31Ìýand can be downloaded on ABC’s website. All 2014 Safety Training Evaluation Process (STEP) Diamond and Platinum recipients are eligible to apply and there is no fee to participate. New STEP Gold recipients may also apply for the NSEA by submitting the NSEA Gold application and $450 application fee.
