ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓWorkforce Week ’16 attracted well over 500 attendees, with 55 educational sessions, 50+ exhibitors and plenty of excitement. Surveyed shortly after the conference, 91 percent said they planned on returning next year. 

Highlights included the ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓInnovation Theater, where attendees got a chance to see into future of the construction industry with the latest in software technology, a live exoskeleton demonstration and drone display. ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓWorkforce Week '16 was a remarkable demonstration of what makes our association great.

  • During the National Craft Championships, 32 project managers and 200+ competitors clocked more than 4,250 hours working on 13 crafts without a single safety incident. At the end of the week, ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓcongratulated the winners in 15 competitions representing 13 crafts. 
  • We celebrated the best merit shop construction projects at the 26th annual Excellence in Construction® awards gala. A total of 105 projects, collectively worth $2.8 billion, were honored in the industry’s leading competition, which recognizes both general and specialty contractors for innovative and high-quality merit shop construction projects.
  • Also at the gala, National Safety Excellence Award winners were selected from ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓmember firms that achieved Diamond, Platinum and Gold status in ABC's Safety Training Evaluation Process in 2015, and ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓrecognized the country’s leading diversity programs.
