On April 20, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division released its . These voluntary surveys are used by the WHD to determine the prevailing wage rate for construction workers on federal and federally assisted projects over $2,000.

The WHD is planning surveys on highway construction in:

  • Florida
  • Georgia
  • New Hampshire
  • West Virginia

The WHD is also planning wage rate surveys for building construction in Maine, and building, heavy, highway and residential construction in Guam.

Responding to these surveys is important to ensure prevailing wage rates are as accurate as possible. More information on the process can be found on the .

In addition, ABC’s own survey on the Davis-Bacon Act is still open. This survey gauges ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓmembers’ opinions and experiences with Davis-Bacon and Related Acts regulations and specifically the . The proposed changes would reverse previous reforms and expand Davis-Bacon covered work, as explained in this . Receiving as many responses as possible will be vital to pushing back on these harmful regulations.

Contractor members who have not responded already to the survey can do so . The survey will close at 5 p.m. ET on Monday, May 2.
