To compete in the 2014 National Craft Championships, craft trainees must meet certain requirements. To ensure eligibility, ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓmember companies and chapters should verify that their trainees:

  • are actively enrolled in and sponsored by an ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓchapter, ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓmember firm (in-house) or ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓ“chapter-approved” training sponsor program within nine months prior to the National Craft Championships;
  • are not certified as a journeyman more than six months prior to the date of the National Craft Championships;
  • possess no more than six years total experience in the competition he or she enters (not including secondary school programs);
  • did not compete within the same craft competition in any previous ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓNational Craft Championships; and
  • are approved to compete by the National Craft Championships Committee if the craft training student has not previously been employed or is not currently employed by a construction-related firm.
