On Jan. 15, ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓBaltimore Metro Chapter’s Women in ABC committee awarded a $4,000 scholarship to high school student Emily Burgess of Seton Keough High School for submitting a winning design in a canned food construction project competition.

As part of the competition, applicants had to obtain the materials and submit a design and hypothetical implementation process to build a structure entirely out of canned food and other non-perishable item. Burgess’ winning design was for the Giving Tree and all materials collected will be donated to My Brother’s Keeper, a local food bank.

ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓBaltimore Chapter’s Women in ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓis comprise of women members of the chapter who are directly involved in the field of commercial construction. More information on the committee is available .
