On Aug. 12, ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓsubmitted comments to the Office of Management and Budget’s (OMB) Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) expressing concerns about the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s (EEOC) . Under the Paperwork Reduction Act, OMB is responsible for reviewing and approving the revised EEO-1 report.

In its Aug. 12 comment letter, ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓexplained that it is committed to compliance with laws prohibiting discrimination with respect to compensation. However, ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓhas serious concerns with the EEOC proposal. ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓurged OIRA to reject the revision to the EEO-1 form and return the proposal to the EEOC because it imposes an unjustified burden on employers, fails to generate useful and reliable information to combat pay discrimination and fails to protect the confidentiality of the information. The EEOC failed to justify these changes and provide an adequate response to the public’s concerns

ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓalso joined comments with numerous other organizations, including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the National Federation of Independent Business.

ABC’s April 1 comment letter may be read .
