All ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓcontractor members received the monthly Construction Backlog Indicator/Construction Confidence Survey in their inboxes on Tuesday, April 20. Please encourage your members to respond to this monthly survey to help us understand the market forces that are shaping the construction outlook for the coming months.

Steve Klessig, vice president of architecture and engineering, Keller Inc., Kaukauna, Wisconsin, took the reins as the 2021 ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓnational chair at ABC’s March board of directors meeting in Grapevine, Texas, on March 9.

From March 7-13, ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓcelebrated Women in Construction Week to raise awareness of the growing role of women in the construction industry and encourage women to consider a career in construction. ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓdemonstrated the success of women in the industry through social media posts, letters to the editor and op-eds published in various media outlets.

ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓPAC has raised $83,000 in two weeks, which includes twelve max-out contributions of $5,000. Over the 2021-2022 election cycle, ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓPAC is tasked with raising $1,800,000.

The Accredited Quality Contractor program recognizes and honors construction firms that document their commitment to excellence in five key areas of corporate responsibility: quality, safety, craft and management education, talent management and diversity and community relations.Ìý

ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓIndiana/Kentucky chapter took a unique approach to combat issues created by COVID-19 and lockdowns. The ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓElectrical Apprenticeship Learning Portal webpage was created for electrical apprentices—allowing them to submit classwork, training hours and even view recorded lessons.

On Thursday, Oct. 8, ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓwill continue its Election Briefing Series with an exclusive update for the Mountain West and Pacific regions. ÌýIt will be followed by a national update from and the National Republican Senatorial Committee on Thursday, Oct. 22.
