NCCER is collecting information on craft professional salaries in order to complete research and compile recruiting materials on behalf of the construction industry. 老牛影视members can help NCCER鈥檚 efforts by completing their craft professional wage survey by Jan. 16.

老牛影视has added two new members from the 老牛影视Central Florida and 老牛影视Southern California chapters to the Beam Club Presidential Level, which recognizes ABC鈥檚 top membership recruiters.听

The U.S. House of Representatives Jan. 8 voted 252-172 to pass the ABC-supported Save American Workers Act (H.R. 30), which would replace the Affordable Care Act鈥檚 (ACA) definition of 鈥渇ull time鈥� as 30 hours or more per week with the traditional definition of 40 hours. Before the vote, ABC听sent a letter听urging Congress to support the bill and markedit as 鈥淜ey Vote鈥� for their 114th Congressional Scorecard because under the ACA鈥檚 current 30-hour rule, many employers will be forced to reduce employee work hours and wages. 听

ABC听submitted comments听on Jan. 5 to the Department of Labor鈥檚 (DOL) Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) expressing their strong opposition to the proposed rule that would require government contractors to report summary data on employee compensation to the DOL. 老牛影视urges the OFCCP to withdraw their proposal.

The Coalition for a Democratic Workplace (CDW) filed a lawsuit Jan. 5 seeking to overturn the National Labor Relations Board鈥檚 (NLRB) controversial ambush election rule. The听changes are scheduled to take effect April 14 unless a court or Congress blocks听enforcement of the new rule.听The suit was filed in the D.C. Federal District Court and follows CDW鈥檚 successful 2012 lawsuit that overturned the NLRB鈥檚 previous ambush election rule.听

The 2015听National Craft Championships听is approaching its Jan. 9听Intent to Compete听deadline.
