F.L. Crane & Sons Inc. of Fulton, Miss., a member of ABC’s Mississippi Chapter, has been awarded Accredited Quality Contractor (AQC) status by ABC. The AQC program recognizes and honors construction firms that document their commitment to excellence in five key areas of corporate responsibility: quality, safety, employee benefits, training and community relations.

ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓcongratulates Justin Baker, executive vice president of Gaylor Electric in Mooresville, N.C., for being named ABC's Young Professional of the Year. Baker accepted the award Nov. 8 during ABC's Leadership Week Conference in Orlando, Fla.Ìý

The ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓstudent chapter at the University of Cincinnati was named the 2017 Student Chapter of the Year for its accomplishments in programming, community service, communications and public relations and interaction with its sponsor, the ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓOhio Valley Chapter, during the academic year. Colorado State University, sponsored by the ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓRocky Mountain Chapter, was named the Construction Management Competition (CMC) overall winner of 2017.

A record number of project owners joined ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓcontractors last week at the fifth annual ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓUsers Summit in New Orleans to discuss how to collaboratively improve the planning and delivery of high-quality construction projects. ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓhas added Rocky Mountain Chapter member Dennis Walker of United Rentals to the Beam Club Presidential level. The Beam Club was established in 1966 to recognize ABC’s top membership recruiters for their commitment to growing the association. By recruiting five new members, ÀÏÅ£Ó°ÊÓmembers are automatically enrolled in the Beam Club by their chapter.
