One of the largest student production of the year reimagines scenes from 鈥滲arbie鈥 in a South Asian setting

More than 600 students came together to present 鈥淎waaz 2024: Away in the Dreamhouse,鈥 highlighting moments from the Barbie movie but with a South Asian twist.

Duke鈥檚 largest student-run production, Awaaz was held in Page Auditorium, spreading joy, culture, and community. The event was presented by Duke Diya, Duke鈥檚 leading South Asian undergraduate student association.

Between musical and dance pieces, the students presented skits based on 鈥淏arbie.鈥
