Seen at Last Day of Classes
Duke undergraduates celebrated the last day of classes before exams start. The day had something for everyone. You like jazz? A student jazz band had people swinging. Need to get your steps in? Start the day by stretching out with yoga then climb Duke Chapel to the top for a view of the campus.
Beyond that, there were arts and crafts, lawn games, casino games, locopops and a very competitive bubble soccer game. The day was sunny but cool, keeping things comfortable. Music was everywhere.
The day of activities ended with the traditional concert, with performances by rapper Swae Lee, singer Elley Duh茅, student DJs and others.
Yoga and pilates got the day started, and during the afternoon a number of student bands provided entertainment.
The Poetry Fox, left, was on hand to spin verse for students centered around a given word. Student Maya Parekh asked for a poem with the word 鈥渂ittersweet.鈥 鈥淎 lot of 鈥榣asts鈥 right now, but a lot of 鈥榝irsts鈥 coming so it鈥檚 a little bittersweet now,鈥 Parekh said. Students tried their luck at casino games. And, as always, there were locopops (below) to cool people down after an afternoon in the sun.
Students enjoy locopops at the Bryan Center Plaza during the afternoon.
