Launching the Next Generation of Women Athletes
Duke Athletics is growing the game for more than 250 youngsters who visited Cameron Indoor Stadium Saturday to work on their skills alongside members of Duke women’s varsity teams.
The free clinic was part of Duke Athletics’ community partnerships to encourage athletic activity among local children. The clinic was part of the lead-up to Wednesday, when Duke celebrates National Girls and Women in Sports Day.

Every women’s team participated, as well as Duke Cheer and Dance. The Cameron floor was filled with laughter and cheers as both boys and girls tried their hand at field hockey, golf and soccer.The race was on in a special relay competition arranged by members of the track and cross-country teams.
