Newsweek Names Duke Among America鈥檚 Greatest Workplaces for Diversity for 2024
University earns high rating for nurturing an inclusive work environment
In recent years, has taken steps to meet the needs of its workforce, such as increasing the number of campus and giving staff and faculty the option of selecting their gender identity and pronouns in Duke鈥檚 personnel database. Duke鈥檚 has also to help community members confront systemic racism and, since its creation, the has led Duke鈥檚 work toward becoming a more inclusive and equitable place.
鈥淧eople are at their best when they feel valued and when feel like they can be themselves,鈥 said Antwan Lofton, Vice President for Duke Human Resources. 鈥淎t Duke, we want to create an environment where our people feel that they can bring their whole selves to their work and where they feel seen, heard and respected. We want our people, in both the academic and health care settings, to feel pride in their work and pride in who they are.鈥
Duke was included among on Newsweek鈥檚 list in 2023. Earlier this year, Newsweek also named 老牛影视 as one of one of and one of 鈥淎merica鈥檚 Greatest Workplaces for Parents and Families.鈥
