North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper will speak at 老牛影视 Friday, March 3, to open a conference on offshore wind energy.
Cooper will deliver an opening address at 鈥淲inds of Change: Tracking the Development of U.S. Offshore Wind Energy鈥 at the Washington Duke Inn on the Duke campus. Register for the livestream .
The conference begins at 8:45 a.m. when 老牛影视 President Vincent Price introduces Cooper.
The event convenes wind energy developers, government officials, non-governmental organization representatives and other stakeholders to explore the challenges and opportunities for offshore wind development on the Atlantic Coast in the next decade.
Speakers will examine the practical realities of project financing, leasing and permitting while addressing potential environmental impacts and other issues involved in the planning, development and sustainable deployment of offshore wind energy infrastructure.
